Why familieschoose us.
Behind every project is a family that cares how it turns out. Salexx Construction and Remodeling is a father and son enterprise led by Salvador and Alex Mendoza, serving Newberg and the greater Portland metro for more than 30 years. This page explains what we believe in, how we work and what you can expect when you hire us.
A family-owned company
When you call Salexx, you reach the people who own the company and answer for the work. Being family-owned means our name is on every project and our reputation depends on every customer being satisfied, not just at the end of the job but years afterward. We treat each home as if a neighbor will be looking at it next week, because one often is.
What we stand for
Four values guide how we work. Passion means we care about the craft, and it shows in the finished project. Honesty means straight answers, transparent pricing and no surprises. Dependability means we show up when we say we will and finish what we start. Teamwork means our crew works together with you, from the first conversation to the final walkthrough, so you are never left wondering who is responsible.
How we work with you
Every project begins with a free estimate. We visit your home, measure, look closely at what is there and explain what we find in plain language. You then receive a written, itemized quote with materials, timeline and warranty so you can compare it fairly with any other bid. During the work you get regular updates, and at the end we walk the finished project with you and clean up completely.
What we do
Our five core trades are roofing, siding, windows and doors, exterior painting and decking, and you can see everything on our services page. We also build outdoor living spaces, take on select interior projects and handle commercial and multifamily exteriors.
Licensed, insured and lead-safe
Salexx is licensed in Oregon, bonded and insured, and we are an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm. That protects you in two ways. If something goes wrong, you are covered, and if your home was built before 1978, we follow the practices federal rules require when paint is disturbed, which keeps dust contained and your family protected.
Where to find us
Our headquarters is at 611 Hulet Ave in Newberg, and our Sherwood office is at 14991 SW Tualatin Sherwood Rd. We serve Yamhill County, Washington County and the Portland metro, including Dundee, Dayton, McMinnville, Tigard, Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tualatin, Wilsonville, Forest Grove, Lake Oswego and Portland. See our service areas for city-by-city details.
A promise that does not expire
No matter when you need us, during your project or years later, we are just a call away. When you work with us you become part of the Salexx family, and we treat questions after the job the same way we treat questions before it. That is how we have earned the trust of homeowners across the Portland metro.
