How to prepare for your estimate

A few details make the first visit more productive. Note what you have noticed, such as a stain on a ceiling, peeling paint, a soft deck board or a gutter that overflows, and when you first saw it. Take a few photos, jot down rough measurements if you have them, and think about your priorities: budget, timing, appearance, durability and how much maintenance you are willing to take on. If you have pictures of designs you like, bring them along. If you are planning several projects, tell us about all of them so we can suggest a sensible order.

What we do at the on-site visit

We come to you. We walk the property, measure, look closely at the condition of what is there and explain what we find in plain language. We answer your questions, talk through materials and options and make sure we understand what you want before we write anything down.

Your written estimate

After the visit you receive a written, itemized quote that spells out the scope, materials, timeline and warranty, so you can compare it fairly with any other bid. We do not pressure you to decide. If you want to think it over, ask more questions or get another opinion, that is fine.
